THE Dilton Dash and Bratton Hilly are both returning this month!
The Dilton Dash, which raises money for Dilton Marsh village causes – returns on Sunday 23rd May, with 200 participants tackling either a 10km or 3km course. The Bratton Hilly, which returns on Saturday 29th May, involves up to 200 runners attempting a “challenging” 11km course.
Organiser of both events, Tracey Hyde from Redfish Events, who has taken over the running of the Bratton Hilly, which is now in its 24th year, told White Horse News, “We are super excited to be back!”
Both events are described as having multi-terrain routes, and for the first time, runners taking part will be chip timed.
“This is because of Covid restrictions,” explained Tracey, “but runners prefer this as it gives them an accurate time for their race.”
For the Dilton Dash, Tracey is also on the hunt for volunteer race marshals.
She said, “As a thank you for marshalling you can have a free place on a similar event. Or get your partner/ parent / club member to marshal and you can have a free place at the same event.”
Entry to the Dilton Dash closed last week. However, there is still time to enter the Bratton Hilly – the deadline is this Saturday, 15th May. Visit the website for more information: www.entry central.com/event/111817
