Revd Andrew Sinclair, who has been Vicar of Verwood in East Dorset for the past 16 years, will take up his new appointment as Rector in Bratton, Edington, Erlestoke and Coulston on September 5th, at a service in Edington Priory conducted by the Bishop of Ramsbury, Rt Revd Edward Condry.
Andrew says, “Moving to a rural setting will provide a new challenge for me, as I have lived most of my life in cities and towns. There will be a lot to learn, but also opportunities for getting to know, serve and love the people of Bratton, Edington, Erlestoke and Coulston, and share with them in exploring life and faith together.”
Andrew was born in Germany but grew up mainly in London. He was educated at Sherborne in Dorset before studying Economics and Politics at Exeter University and doing his theological training at Westcott House, Cambridge.
His interests include classical music (he has sung in Bournemouth Sinfonietta Choir until recently) and golf representing the Church of England in matches against churches in Scotland, Wales, Ireland and Sweden.
Andrew is married to Julie and has twin boys, John and Will, who are 23. Having recently moved into the Rectory at Bratton, Andrew is excited about beginning a new ministry in the villages along the B3098.
