WESTBURY’S Vintage and Transport Gathering is back this month for its 22nd anniversary and will again be exhibiting a variety of vintage vehicles and machinery in Bratton.
The popular event will take place on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th April from 9am at Top Field, Westbury Road, Bratton. Admission costs £2 for adults and children go free.
Organiser Keith Miller said, “We always have a fascinating range of interesting exhibits, some of which are quite rare, and this year will be no exception. We will have some special military vehicles present, together with our usual range of fire engines and other machines.
“We are one of the longest running events in the Westbury area and the original local vintage event. We have been very successful and have many exhibitors, traders, stalls and eateries who return to us year on year.
“Bratton was the home of Reeves iron works and a number of their products will be on show. We set out to be an informal, relaxed and friendly event and welcome further entries.
“We own our own field so are not dependent on landlords, and our admission charge has stayed at a very low £2, with all children free.
“All we need now is some good weather which, with one or two recent exceptions, we have always had!”
The gathering will have a range of classic and vintage vehicles including fire engines, tractors, military, agricultural, and motorcycles.
Parking at the site is free and there is free camping available for exhibitors.
The gathering is accessible on Saturday on the Faresaver 87 bus from Trowbridge to Devizes via Westbury.
