ABRAHAM’S Kitchen (AK) has been selected to compete in the Tesco Community Grants Scheme, and the community cook at home project is urging people to vote for them.
The project is currently being put forward to a customer vote in selected Tesco stores until 31st March and customers can vote for AK by placing a blue token in the relevant box.
Tesco Community Grants is open to charities and community organisations to apply for a grant of up to £1,500. Every three months, three local good causes are selected to be in the blue token customer vote in Tesco stores.
Abraham’s Kitchen: Cook at Home project aims to get kids into the kitchen to have fun and learn new skills by cooking a tasty, nutritious meal that the whole family can enjoy. AK provide a free monthly bag of wholesome ingredients and a simple to follow recipe which gives families the chance to have fun together experiencing new tastes and flavours.
Julie Dyer, the founder of AK and admin team leader at Westbury Town Council said, “The following stores will be taking part in voting so please vote for us. The project is run by volunteers from the staff at Westbury Town Council and relies totally on raising funds to keep the project going.
“Westbury stores: Leigh Pk, BA13 3SD; Fore St, BA13 3AY. Trowbridge stores: Eastbourne Rd, BA14 7HW; Frome Rd, BA14 0DT and the Trowbridge Extra store, BA14 7AQ. Frome, Forest Rd, BA11 2TU; Warminster, BA12 8EE and Melksham Bowerhill, SN12 6TA.
