A WESTBURY author is taking the leap into the world of electronic books, with her first e-book published this month.
Rosie Evitt has published many stories but has always used the traditional medium of paper and ink, and has never used an e-book herself. But on the advice of her publisher, she is launching her next book in this format.
An e-book is a publication in digital form, that can be read on an e-book reader or other electronic device.
Rosie’s story ‘Hannah’s Tree’ is a story for six to nine year olds, and is now available on Amazon.
Rosie said, “The publisher thinks an e-book is a good plan because this is the way of progress in publishing. He is a successful publisher so I listened and now await the result!
“Children are so adaptable and are familiar with computers so I think they will have no problem in the smaller presentation. The problem may be ours – the adults! The illustrations are stunning and young eyes will enjoy these lively images.
“I will definitely get a Kindle myself now. It is so light and carries many titles which are inexpensive to buy. In time I think I will enjoy the advantages of reading ebooks – in bed, on a sun lounger or when travelling.”
