Westbury Community Cinema will take a short break until spring while refurbishment work is carried out to the bar area at The Laverton.
The cinema, launched at The Laverton in January 2025, has entertained Westbury residents with regular showings of a wide range of films over the past year.
Organisers hope the improvements to the bar will “enhance the experience for audiences when the cinema returns”.
“The much-loved community cinema is set to reopen in the spring, and we’re already looking forward to welcoming audiences back with a brand-new programme of films for all the family,” said a spokesperson for Westbury Community Cinema.
“The upcoming schedule will feature a carefully curated mix of retro favourites, modern releases and cult classics, offering something for everyone and continuing the cinema’s tradition of bringing people together through great film in a friendly, local setting.
“Westbury Community Cinema would like to thank its supporters for their continued enthusiasm and looks forward to seeing everyone back very soon.”
Further details, including reopening dates and the film schedule, will be announced closer to the reopening.
