Starline Taxis are now operating in Westbury, helping them offer an even stronger service across the area.
Starline Taxis took over Tony’s Taxis at the end of last year, which means it now has a strong presence in Westbury with taxis based in the town.
Added to a fleet of more than 60 taxis, all based in the local area around Westbury, Warminster, and Frome, availability is a key strength of the company.
Starline Taxis was founded in the 1940s, and is still run as a family business. With a wealth of experience behind it, the company prides itself on its effective service and satisfied customers.
Cathy Turner, general manager, said, “The fact we have such a large fleet is a real strength.
“It means we can respond quickly with our wide range of vehicles. Now that we’re based in Westbury as well, our service is even better.”
“Our vehicles are all fitted with state-of-the-art computer technology, which means we track vehicles in real-time.”
“Vehicles are regularly checked, maintained, and serviced to ensure they are in the best possible condition at all times.”
The fleet ranges from 4 seaters to 8 seaters, and includes wheel-chair accessible vehicles with hydraulic tail lifts. The firm covers both short and long distance journeys, from quick trips to the supermarket to airport transfers.
All taxi drivers hold a Hackney licence, while many also hold the NVQ Level 2 qualification for Road Passenger Vehicle Driving. All staff – whether they are behind the wheel or based in the office – are DBS checked (the new version of CRB checks).
