WESTBURY Fire Station will be holding a public open day this month.
The open day, at Westbury Fire Station on Meadow Lane, will be held on Saturday 6th September from 10.00am until 4.00pm. It will provide an opportunity for members of the public to see what goes on behind the scenes in the fire service.
The day will include a road traffic collision demonstration, a ladder and pumping demonstration, and a chance to see and try on some of the firefighting equipment.
There will also be a barbecue, refreshments, game stalls, and stalls from local businesses.
Safety advice will be on offer and firefighters will be available to talk to, as well as Wiltshire Fire and Rescue HR staff if you are interested in becoming a retained firefighter.
