The Hilly Helmet Challenge is back for its ninth year, raising vital funds for the charity Brain Tumour Support.
The 4-mile race will take place on Wednesday 6th August, starting at 7pm from the Leighton Recreation Centre.
This popular event was founded by Dilton Marsh resident Robin-Mark Schols, with all money raised going to Brain Tumour Support.
Prizes will be awarded to the first male and female finishers. As in previous years, there will also be a prize for the best helmet worn during the race.
Organisers said, “We love to see you getting creative, and as this year marks number nine, we’re hoping the nine lives of Hilly will get your creative juices flowing for a chance to win the much-coveted Best Helmet prize. In any case, taking part in a helmet you feel comfortable in, decorated or not, will help you experience the full sensation of the event.”
All participants will receive a unique pottery memento at the finish line.
Westbury Cricket Club will be providing refreshments and running a BBQ on the night.
