The Marrow Cup which was played at Hamptworth Golf Club and included the Beast (a 661 yard par 6) was won in tremendous style by 13 year old Tony Adams with a nett 62. Westbury Golf Club reports, “What a stunning performance from such a young man!
“The Presidents Bowl was won by Dean Webb with a nett 64 beating John Salter by 2 shots. In the John Webb Memorial Trophy and Dave Medley came out on top with 40 points, beating Pete Mould on countback.
“Our latest friendly was away with a 3-3 draw against our old friends at Cannington. Our winners were Dave Medley/Steve Turner and Mike Darwin/John Williams and our half points came from Neil Simpson/Michael Maughan and Richard Foot/Rodney Poolman.”
Winner of the July midweek medal was our Captain, Tina James, and Fiona Belson was runner-up, reports Westbury Golf Club.
