June was a busy month for Westbury Golf Club Seniors Section.
George Henderson, on behalf of the club reported, “We played five Friendly Matches, winning three and losing two. 25 members took part in the Secretaries Summer Cup and in a hard fought competition Carl Stockley came out on top with 43 points, closely followed by Rodney Poolman on 40 points.
“July sees us host our Seniors Open Competition and it looks like it might be a very good turnout, all we have to hope for is good weather.”
Westbury Ladies Golf
The July round of the Celia Dowell competition played on Tuesday 1st July was won by Carol Barton and the runner up was Maureen Heard.
Saturday’s Medal competition was won by Maureen Heard and the runner up was Fiona Belson.
