MEMBERS of Westbury Ladies Rugby Club took part in a 4.5km memory ‘glow walk’ on Friday 6th March raising £415 for Alzheimer’s Society.
The ladies dressed head to toe in glow sticks, lights and glitter to walk 4.5km around Bristol’s harbourside.
The team: Anna Hemingway, Lana Plummer, Maddie Bias, Katie Vaughan, Hannah Crossley, Vicki Naish and Lauren Balchin together raised £415 to help the charity find a cure for Alzheimer’s and dementia.
The group said, “It was great fun, and lovely to do it together as a team. Amongst us we have people who are experiencing the devastating impact of the disease, whether that be through family members or working in the care industry. We are really proud to have raised over £400 and would like to thank everyone who sponsored us.”
