Westbury Library offers warm space this winter

Residents needing a warm space during the colder months can visit Westbury Library, which is a dedicated Wiltshire Council ‘warm space.’ 

Westbury Library provides space for people to read, relax, use the computers, or seek information and advice. The library also hosts various activities during the winter including games, groups, storytelling, energy advice drop-in sessions, plus more.

Wiltshire Council Cabinet Member for Libraries, Cllr Mel Jacob, said, “Wiltshire libraries are friendly, welcoming places for everyone and during colder months they can make a real difference for people looking for warmth, connection and practical support.   

“Whether you’re coming in for a chat, a book, or to find out more about local help available, our libraries are here for you.”

Anyone struggling to stay warm this winter can also speak to staff at their local library, who can help signpost to support and advice from trusted organisations.

Wiltshire Libraries also offer a wide range of free resources and digital services to support reading and learning for all ages, including more than 380,000 books, 10,000 audiobooks, 3,300 e-books and 6,000 e-magazines available to borrow.
