If you like to play netball and are in years 4 to 8, Westbury Netball juniors would like to welcome you to two free open evenings in May, ahead of their new season in September.
The team say, “We are looking for new players to join our under 14s and under 12s teams, who have just finished the season on a high with some great results in a local tournament held in Frome.
“The last matches of the season were played on a bright, but windy Sunday on 17th March resulting in a win for both teams. U14s won 33 to 8 and the U12s won 20 to 8 with only six players! Overall, the U14s finished first place in the tournament with some brilliant netball on display. The U12s narrowly missed winning too, but were just pipped to the post on goal difference, so came second overall.”
Coach Kelly Pearce said, “The improvement we have seen this season from all our players is amazing and the results in the junior tournament are well deserved and show the continued development and improvement of the junior section and the club as a whole.”
Westbury juniors train every Monday on the outdoor floodlit courts at Matravers School. The junior open evenings will be held on 13th and 20th May for current years 4 to 8. Please contact westburynetballclub@yahoo.co.uk to register your interest and find out more information.
