Westbury postman, Leander Morales, played a surprise set at Glastonbury Festival over the weekend. Although not originally scheduled to perform, he stepped in at the last minute to fill a spot in the Permaculture area within the Green Futures Field.
Leander joined hundreds of other performers, which included headline acts Dua Lipa, Coldplay and Sza.
Known for his energetic performances and popular hits, Leander is no stranger to Glastonbury; his performance this year marked his third consecutive year performing at the world-renowned festival.
Reflecting on his experience, he expressed gratitude for the opportunity to perform once again. “Another amazing Glastonbury Festival this year. I feel absolutely honoured to have the opportunity to perform,” he said.
“It was fantastic that Radek Evans contacted me earlier in the week to see if I’d be able to fill a spot on a stage. I had no plans to perform, but couldn’t really turn it down.
“Overall, I had a pretty amazing weekend. It’s always mind-blowing to see the hundreds of stages, the thousands of artists, crew, and performers, everyone pulling together to maintain and sustain what is known as one of the world’s greatest festivals of performing arts. I really enjoyed it.”
