A Westbury renovation project has been featured on BBC One’s Homes Under the Hammer in a recent episode showcasing the property’s transformation.
The episode, Wonky Work in Wiltshire!, features surveyor and local property investor Ryan Silver, who renovated a Grade II listed property on Leigh Road after buying it for £97,000 at auction.
Following the renovation, the property was brought to market and sold by Tanya Williams, valuation manager at the Westbury branch of Martin & Co, who valued it in the region of £270,000.
“The filming was very straightforward,” said Tanya. “It is a set format which they guided me through. Filming was fine, it was more nerve wracking when I knew the date for broadcast!”
Martin & Co were approached by the production company in 2024 for the initial filming before the renovation, with filming after the renovation taking place in August 2025. Tanya volunteered to appear in the episode out of the three valuers at the branch.
“I used to work in TV many years ago but always behind the camera, so this was a new experience for me,” said Tanya. “No one likes to see themselves on camera, do they?! The team at Martin & Co found it very enjoyable (hilarious) to watch!”
