Westbury United Reserves followed up their Trowbridge and District League A and B Cup final victory against Lacock FC with a 2-1 win over the same opposition in the Knockout Cup final played at Melksham Town’s ground on Tuesday 6th May.
This time the goals were scored by Gary Tugwell (with a penalty) and the team did excellently to snatch a late winner by Elliot Hughes after having their goalkeeper sent off earlier in the game.
Westbury United Presentation Evening: The annual presentation evening will be held on Friday 23rd May from 7.30pm in the club house. Everyone is welcome to attend the evening where awards will be presented to players from the First, Reserve and Under 18s teams. There will also be a buffet and raffle.
Physio required: Westbury require a qualified physiotherapist (trainee considered) for their First Team who play in the Western League. You must be available on Saturdays from August to May and some evenings will also be required. New manager required: Although Westbury United were happy for him to continue as manager, Matty Bown has resigned from the club, so a new manager is required for the team who play in the Toolstation Western League First Division.
