A cheque for £1,018 has been presented to local hospice Dorothy House by Westbury Rotary Club following charity collection days earlier this year.
The collection days took place at Morrisons, and the cheque was recently handed over to Gracie, manager of the Westbury Dorothy House charity shop.
Dorothy House provides palliative and end-of-life care locally to adults with a progressive, treatable but not curable life-limiting illness, or with severe frailty, as well as support for their families and carers.
“We collected £518 from the ever-generous folk of Westbury, who should be rightfully applauded, which the club matched with a further £500, giving a grand total of £1,018,” said Rotary member Jon Street. “The Rotary Club also donated £500 earlier this year to Dorothy House.”
