WESTBURY Shed is celebrating a successful summer in the garden and is now inviting newcomers to join in regular workshop sessions for the wet season.
Group organiser Dan Gmaj reports, “As an exceptional growing season on our allotments approaches autumn, we are delighted to announce that our first ‘Shed Workshop’ will finally be open to all existing members and prospective Westbury Shedders from Saturday 17th September.
“This modest, but soon to be well appointed workshop space close to the town centre will be available to all members at twice weekly sessions for a £3 contribution and, by special arrangement, on other days too!
“Members will be working on their own projects and together on exciting community projects. A great deal of practical activity will be taking place but no skills are required to join.
“You are all most welcome to come along and join in the fun by contacting us or just drop in to our comfy monthly meeting at our next meeting at the Leigh Park Community Centre on Friday 16th September from 10am to 1pm. There is always a cuppa on hand and a lot to talk about!
“It’s all about the people, and if you’re interested in what we are up to, have tools or materials to donate, projects to offer or would just like to find out more, please get in touch.”
