Westbury made a slow start in their 3-5-2 formation hardly touching the ball first ten mins.
Warminster opened the scoring when they looped a ball through to the wing and swung a cross in and Ben Forester made a half hearted effort to push it away but it fell kindly to a Warminster striker who popped in an easy goal.
After that Westbury dominated possession with some great one two passing. Nick Taylor broke into the box from a George Bendle flick and hit a left foot effort which was saved by the keeper and from a Westbury corner Jordan Pinder swung in a cross to a leaping header from Matt Jones who tucked his effort away to level the scores.
Westbury applied more pressure and the ball found its way to a magical Pinder who wriggled in and out of the defence and pulled the trigger with his left foot and it beat the keeper but just not the post.
From the goal kick Warminster put the ball into Westbury’s half and Jake Stephenson slipped trying to shield the ball and the Warminster striker stroked the ball into the bottom corner to give the visitors the lead.
After that Warminster played a waiting game holding the ball and looked a bit stronger in midfield. A late challenge from Pinder earned him a booking.
After the break, an early change saw Matt Mantay on for Taylor and within five mins Warminster broke and a 25 yard strike was buried into Foresters’ top corner, 1-3 to Warminster.
Bendle had a good chance saved by the keeper but sadly Westbury had run out of ideas on derby day and put in their worst performance of the season.
