Westbury will come together to honour and remember those who have served and sacrificed for their country at the annual Remembrance Service this Sunday, 10th November.
The ceremony will be led by Rector Rebecca Harris at the War Memorial, near the High Street, and will commence promptly at 10.55am.
The event will feature a parade of uniformed groups in the High Street. Trowbridge Youth Band will once again provide the musical backdrop for the occasion. Community groups are invited to lay wreaths in tribute, and participants are requested to gather at the rotunda well in advance of the ceremony.
The town council advises wreath layers to arrive by 10.30am to ensure a smooth and respectful procession.
“The Army Officer Selection Board (AOSB) has graciously provided a parade marshal to oversee the event, ensuring the proceedings run smoothly and with the dignity they deserve,” said Westbury Town Council’s event manager, Ryan Child.
“This Remembrance Service is a significant event for the Westbury community, offering a moment to reflect on the bravery and sacrifices of our armed forces. All residents and visitors are encouraged to attend and pay their respects.”
