Three wind musicians from the orchestral ensemble, The Britten Sinfonia, will be performing at Edington Priory Church on Saturday 19th October.
The trio features three of the Sinfonia’s Wind Principals—Nicholas Daniel, oboe; Sarah Burnett, bassoon; and Joy Farrall, clarinet—all of whom are well-known soloists and chamber ensemble players. They have put together a programme including a Beethoven Trio and a Divertimento by Mozart, as well as pieces by Ibert, Milhaud and Poulenc.
“There will be music for a wide range of tastes, performed by three outstanding instrumentalists,” organisers say.
Organised by Edington Arts, the performance starts at 7.30pm and will end at about 9.30pm, including an interval.
Students aged 18 and under can attend for free. The Three Daggers in Edington is offering a pre-concert supper starting at 5pm for ticket holders, with booking strongly advised.
Tickets for this concert are on sale now and can be secured through the What’s On page on the Edington Arts website, www.edingtonarts.org, or by calling Chrissy on 01380 831256.
