WESTBURY Area Board approved over £18,000 in community grants for local groups at a meeting earlier this month.
At the meeting which took place on Thursday 4th February, Westbury Area Board’s £18,000 in grant funds was agreed for local groups in Westbury and surrounding villages.
Grants were awarded to fund both youth clubs and activities in Westbury and in Bratton which promise to engage young people and provide them with safe places to relax and enjoy themselves with their friends and peers.
There were also grants awarded to Westbury Youth Football Club and Matravers School combined cadet force.
West Wilts Society of Model Engineers, Dilton Marsh History Society and the newly formed but rapidly expanding Westbury Shed will also receive community grants.
