United’s improvement continued with this victory on a wet afternoon at Meadow Lane and the slick surface made for a scrappy encounter.
They are now unbeaten in three games and have notched up seven points in that time.
An open start saw chances at both ends and it was Westbury who scored first on 12 minutes; James Hounsell’s set piece was met by Nathan Hallett-Young with a towering header which went in off the underside of the crossbar.
Bishop Sutton drew level immediately when the impressive Raphael Waugh outpaced Hallett-Young and produced an excellent finish.
Ben Forester could have restored the hosts’ lead but he chose not to shoot after George Dempsey’s poor clearance had given him a chance.
Both goalkeepers made good saves before half time, Sutton’s Dempsey to deny Jordon Matthews and United’s Charlie Heydon when Josh Dakwa fired the ball towards goal.
Levi Wood had a fine 2nd half and it was he who put Westbury back into the lead just after half time when he cut in from the right and unleashed a fierce left footed finish.
Chances continued to come at both ends, Forester dragged an effort wide when well placed and Tony McElhone defended well to prevent Waugh from shooting after he was set up by Dakwa.
The visitors began to lose their discipline and a defensive error allowed Mark Young to complete the scoring on 65.
Sutton had Harry Neil sent off for two bookable offences and United should have scored again, however Young somehow missed an open goal! Then with time running out Dave Macey’s shot through a crowded goalmouth was blocked on the line and put in by Hallett-Young, however it was disallowed for offside.
