Willand Rovers kicked off the first half and straight away were onto an attack with a cross finding fletcher Williams which he fired straight into the back of the net after only two minutes of play.
Things didn’t get much better for Westbury with Willand Rovers keeping possession for most of the first half. Then five minutes before half time, Matt Dawson made it 2-0 to Willand Rovers leaving Westbury deflated.
Westbury’s performance in the second half was much better with Martin Johnson forcing Mike Searle into a save after ten minutes. Then Otis Young came on and straight away had a one on one with Searle which ended with him firing it into the side netting. A great chance which could have turned Westbury’s fortunes.
It was a tough pitch to play on with heavy rain coming down for the whole 90 minutes. Final score 0-2.
