Staff at the pool say, “We’ll make you welcome whether you swim like a fish or feel more like a fish out of water!
“If you’ve always wanted to improve your technique, build confidence or just relax with a friend and swim up and down and have a chat, the team at Westbury Swimming Pool will welcome you.
“Swimming is an excellent way to relax and unwind and a great way to improve your health and wellbeing. Feel at ease in our women only swimming sessions at Westbury Swimming Pool where you can swim at your own pace.
“Friendly and welcoming staff will show you around the changing rooms and pool area if you’re new to the facility. You can take your towel on poolside so you don’t need to bare all (if you’re not comfortable doing so) until you’re ready to swim.
“Bikinis, swimming costumes and tight fitting t-shirts are all allowed in the pool – so wear whatever you feel most comfortable in.
“In these sessions, it’s not about your speed or your stroke; instead it’s about de-stressing and relaxation for your mind, body and soul. Whether you’re new to swimming or returning to the pool, these sessions are for you. Most people feel more comfortable taking part in an activity if they are good at it, so we have knowledgeable activators on poolside if you need a bit of help or advice.
“Come along to our This Girl Can Swim sessions: Tuesdays 11am – 12noon.
