THE congregation of All Saints’ Church Westbury is currently looking for a volunteer treasurer to support them with their financial reporting and management.
All Saints’ is looking for someone with vision to help them look at new ways of doing things and creating a more stable future for the congregation at All Saints’ Church and Holy Saviour Westbury, the two congregations that make up the Parish of Westbury. Like many churches they are facing financial challenges in meeting their obligations to the Church and maintaining a fine Grade 1 Listed building with a relatively small congregation.
You will be working closely with the Rector, Revd Rebecca Harris, the Churchwardens and the Westbury Parochial Church Council (PCC).
Revd Rebecca Harris said, “We are looking for a new perspective and keen to recruit a volunteer with fresh ideas. You don’t need to be a churchgoer but being sympathetic to our aims will help.”
Beth Thomas, Churchwarden said, “Our former treasurer stepped down just before the pandemic and since then I’ve been juggling the role of both Churchwarden and Treasurer, and it’s been a real challenge. I’d really appreciate some support and there is no one available from within our congregation. The role is supported by a small number of volunteers who carry out the banking tasks, so this is mostly an accounting role.”
Information about what the role involves can be found on their website www.whtministry.org.uk and you can find out more about the role by contacting Beth Thomas, Churchwarden by emailing wcw@whtministry.org.uk.
