CHURCHES through the local area will soon be holding Easter celebrations and they are inviting local people to take part in the festivities.
Rev Rebecca Harris says, “We are looking forward to our Easter celebrations in the White Horse Team churches, covering Westbury and Dilton Marsh. Please come along and join us. Everyone is welcome!
“On Good Friday, 7th April from 10.30 am, members of the local churches will be in the town centre giving out hot cross buns and leaflets about the Easter story. There will be some worship outside, including songs and readings about the Easter story. After this, there will be a service of reflection called ‘An Hour at the Cross’ at All Saints’ Church at 12pm.
“There will be an Easter family fun morning at All Saints’ Church on Saturday 8th April from 10am to 12pm. There will be lots of crafts, re-telling the Easter story, songs, an Easter egg hunt and refreshments. Families welcome. For more information and to book your place, please contact the Revd Holly Newton on 01373 826816.
“On Easter Day (Sunday 9th April), there will be a dawn service on the White Horse hill at 6am (for the early risers!). There will then be services at All Saints at 8am and 9.30am, in Holy Trinity Dilton Marsh at 9.30am and at Holy Saviour Westbury Leigh at 11am, and the Tin Church at Brokerswood at 11 am. Café Church will take place at Westbury Junior School at 10 am. All are welcome, and we would like to wish all residents of Westbury and surrounding area a very Happy Easter!”
