A LAY-BY on the A350 between Warminster and Westbury is looking a bit tidier after the local MP Dr Andrew Murrison undertook his annual litter pick.
Dr Murrison said, “I suppose I’ve adopted this stretch; last time I filled two bags with litter, this time just one. One too many, but it is progress.
“I would say wet wipes have featured more and more over time. Based on what I picked up in my lay-by, I would say there’s a good case for banning wet wipes that contain plastic. I definitely welcome retailers who are shifting to biodegradable alternatives.”
