PUPILS at Bitham Brook Primary School donated an impressive 360 items to the local food bank following the success of their recent Harvest Festival.
The school says, “This term our student council (Pupil Voice) have been focussing on how we can help our local community. The children came up with the idea to hold a Harvest Festival in order to raise donations for the food bank, run by the Westbury Area Network, to help those that need it most.
“Children throughout the school brought in donations of food items which amounted to a huge 360+ items. Caroline and Cavan from Westbury Are Network visited Pupil Voice on Wednesday 4th October to talk to the children about their initiative and to thank the children in person for the hard work they had put in. The children are all very proud to have helped those in need in the local community and hope to encourage others in the town and county to do the same.”
