A night for singles, not a singles night at Railway Inn

EVERY second Tuesday of the month, join other like-minded people for a meet-up night at The Railway Inn, Westbury.

Meet-up evenings are for single people aged 35/40+ who just want a night out with people who are in the same situation without the awkward first date, painful introductions and the harsh realities of online dating.

Jacqui Pringle, organiser of the event said, “I have started nights for singles, not a singles nights after finding myself single at 50 after a 30-year marriage. I found out that the dating scene was very different, and not a good different!

“I found out it was all seedy dating sites, full of married men or blokes just wanting to hook up and I know the women are the same. So finding a group called meet-up seemed to be the answer. Meet up evenings are for singles who just want a night out with people who are in the same boat. Unfortunately, they are mainly in Bath and Bristol, with the closest being Bradford upon Avon.

“I approached Sue and Julian at the Railway Inn about having Westbury’s very own night for singles, not a singles night. I chose The Railway Inn as it’s near Westbury Station, so will encourage singles from Warminster and Trowbridge. Sue not only thought it was a good idea, but was happy to lay on hot and cold nibbles!

“So, our night for singles includes a meet and greet outside if needed, so you don’t have to walk into the pub alone. You will then be escorted into the pub and introduced to the rest of the group to save being awkward.
