THE Memorial Theatre has a busy line-up of music and entertainment for the coming months.

Saturday 8th February 7.30pm- Abba – Forever In Concert. The unique Abba look and sound is replicated with an incredible attention to detail as the beautiful lyrics penned by Benny and Bjorn are sung in wonderful harmony by all six performers on stage. Dynamic non-stop choreography, stunning visuals, top-class musicianship and an all-live performance ensures that the Tribute to ABBA Forever show captivates audiences from the opening refrain to the final sing-along chorus of this two-hour spectacular. Tickets; adults £22.50 concessions £21.50.

Friday 14th February 7.30pm- Elkie Brooks Live in Concert. Long before the end of a live show and the frequent standing ovations that accompany it, there comes a point where Elkie does something so amazing that it leaves her audience almost spellbound.  It could be a particularly emotional rendition of one of her ballads, a powerhouse blues vocal or one of her trademark impossibly long notes that leaves the audience mesmerised.

Elkie will be performing her biggest hits including “Pearl’s A Singer”, “Lilac Wine”, “Fool (If You think It’s Over)”, Don’t Cry Out Loud” and “No More The Fool” as well as many more featured on her recent hit album “Elkie Brooks – Pearls – The Very Best Of”. www.elkiebrooks.com. Tickets £29.50

Thursday 20th February  7.30pm- An Evening with Alan Titchmarsh – Trowel & Error. To describe Alan as a national treasure would not do his talents justice.  A gardener, a poet, an excellent and innovative TV presenter, a writer of non-fiction and a novelist, he is an immensely creative and empathetic man. Such a richness of ability might be scary but in Alan, readers and viewers have found a friend. In fact, there is a rumour that his waxwork at Madame Tussaud’s has to have lipstick smudges wiped off every fortnight!

Alan will showcase all his talents wrapped up in a bundle of glorious anecdotes and enlightening “tales from his life on earth”. £26.00

Friday 28th February 7.30pm. An opportunity to experience, live on stage, one of Rock’n’Roll’s original pioneers. Marty Wilde, whose career began in 1957, was amongst the very first British singers to play a leading role in the early formative and groundbreaking Rock’n’Roll years. He is also one of the few still performing in the world today.

Playing his many hits – combined with a host of magical songs from that wonderful era – Marty and his fabulous band, The Wildcats, will take you on a trip down Memory Lane and guide you through some of the most exciting musical periods that this country has ever experienced.

A fantastic evening awaits all ages! Enjoy this musical roller coaster of a show, which has become one of the most acclaimed on the circuit today. Don’t miss it! Tickets £25.00
