Residents of Westbury are invited to the first Abraham’s Kitchen lunch, which will be held on Wednesday 8th April at 12.30pm, in the main hall at The Laverton.
Organisers say, “Abraham’s Kitchen will bring the community together for a free and delicious lunch, offering a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a meal during the school holidays.
“The tasty food will be prepared by an inventive professional cook, with the ingredients thoughtfully provided through local surplus food.
“A hearty portion of children’s entertainment will also complement the lunch, as well as plenty of simple recipe sharing, to get your teeth into.
“This exciting and important project has already gained the support of Westbury Town Council, Westbury Area Board, Wiltshire College, Morrisons and Parsons Bakery. The Ba13+ Partnership has also recently committed to purchasing some community kitchen wares, which will be used by Abraham’s Kitchen.
“And now we want others to join us in helping to provide this lunch for up to 60 people during the school holidays. The aim is to keep it free at the point of entry, accepting a small donation from those that can afford it.”
