WESTBURY will mark Remembrance Sunday this weekend on the 10th November.
Hundreds of residents attend the parade and service every year, and the Westbury branch of the Royal British Legion hope that the support will be as strong as ever this year.
The parade will start in the Market Place at 10.30am. It will march to the war memorial in Edward Street, where a short service will be held. The silence will be marked at 11.00am and a collection will be taken as well.
Mary Kneen, chair of the Westbury branch of the Royal British Legion said, “The people of Westbury have always given very good support to the Remembrance Sunday parade and service. It always makes me feel proud to stand at that war memorial and see old people and young people and all those who march in the parade.
“We are always very grateful to the people of Westbury who support Remembrance Sunday and give generously to the Poppy Appeal.”
