LAST month, Busy Bees Preschool in Chapmanslade had a visit from some unusual guests.
Kris Freeman from Tropical Discovery Workshops arrived with several bugs, spiders, snakes and a dragon! The children held the animals and asked Kris about what they ate and where they lived. The children talked about what they looked like, how they walked and how they felt in their hands.
Kelly Williams, the manager, said, “The children and staff have had a really good week. It’s always exciting to have visitors into the setting as this broadens the children’s experience of the world, as well as improving their personal, language and social skills”
Busy Bees children and staff spent the week wearing pyjamas to raise funds through sponsorship for new resources for next term. This fundraising idea came from the children and parents. Kelly said, “The staff are always looking for new fundraising ideas.”
