WESTBURY Town Council will be running a food drive for the Westbury food project on Sunday 18th April.
The food collection will be held at 7 Market Place, Westbury from 10am-1pm
The organisers report, “If you can spare any items that could help those most in need then please bring them along. The main items needed are non-perishable foods like tinned meat such as meat balls and corned beef, tinned fish, pasta sauces, jam and tinned fruit, as well as toiletries like shower gel, flannels and sanitary items.
“Volunteers will be on hand to collect the items from 10am-1pm on the day. There is car parking in the Market Place and social distancing measures will be in place to ensure the safety of everyone involved.
“The Westbury food project currently provides food parcels for families across the town every week, thanks to a collaboration between dedicated volunteers, Westbury Town Council and local supermarkets.”
