Warminster Athenaeum will hold their 2025 Annual General Meeting on Saturday 3rd January at 11am in the auditorium.
A review of the year will be shared, including details of some of the changes and investments that have been made over the past 12 months.
Elected trustees then will stand down, followed by an election for 2026 trustees, where there are a number of vacancies.
The Athenaeum is a historic town centre location, steeped in history, run by volunteers and trustees within the remit of the Warminster Athenaeum charitable trust; in essence providing a venue for entertainment, education and community support for the residents of BA12 & BA13, as well as visitors to the area.
Current chair of trustees, Jon Ellis, said, “Volunteers are the lifeblood of this important local asset, and without trustees, we cannot support the range of events held and, not least, the upkeep of the building.
“We are looking for additional trustees to join the team, specifically with a financial, admin or H&S backgrounds, but all skills are welcome. So, if you’d like to give back a little back to the community in some form, or are considering your New Year’s Resolutions to volunteer, please come and talk to us.”
Invitations are welcome for new trustees, and expressions of interest can be made via email to secretary@theath.co.uk before Saturday 20th December for an informal chat. For more information about the Athenæum in general, please visit www.theath.co.uk
