Providence Baptist Church, Dilton Marsh, hosted its first ‘Bake Through the Bible’ session on April 17th and sessions are now planned every month.
Children and adults enjoyed decorating cup cakes and baking their very own cookies in the shape of animals, people, stars and other Creation-inspired shapes.
The afternoon was based on a recent book of the same name, ‘Bake Through the Bible’ which aims to introduce the big ideas of the Bible to all ages through the fun of baking.
The sessions are being held monthly on Sunday afternoons at 4pm at Providence Baptist Chapel, Dilton Marsh. As well as baking, there is also an animated version of a Bible story to watch, and a short talk, showing how the Bible’s message is relevant for people today.
The time ends with a tea and chance to chat from 5pm. The next ‘Bake Through the Bible’ will take place on Sunday 15th May, at 4pm, on the theme of Adam and Eve.
