Barnstaple did to Westbury what they themselves had done to Keynsham 5 days previously; that being a rampant performance resulting in a big victory.
There is no need to go into details other than to say that likely promotion candidates Barnstaple dominated the entire 90 minutes to such an extent that United didn’t even have an attempt on goal!
The half time score was 3-0 with goals scored by Ryan Turner from close range, James Mayne with a header at a corner and a penalty by the outstanding Billy Tucker after he had been fouled by Adam Bishop. Both teams had a man sent off after an off the ball incident between Dave Pearse and Kevin Shinn.
Town ran riot after half time ; Jack Jenkins notching a hattrick of excellent finishes, Turner added a 2nd easy finish and Tucker another penalty after he weaved more magic in the box. Westbury briefly threatened on the counter attack but never got near to a consolation.
