LOCAL blind man, David Griggs, has donated several of his handmade wicker baskets to Imperial Charity in Westbury for them to sell and raise money for local charities.
David and his sister, Mary, are regular customers at Imperial Charity on the High Street and are also regular donators. This Christmas, David has given the shop some of his own wicker basket creations in different shapes and sizes.
Once received, they were put in the shop window display, dressed with tinsel and after gaining a huge response, were sold within half a day!
Eileen Summerfield of Imperial Charity said, “A big thank you to David for his wonderful and generous gift of the baskets. Everyone has stopped by the window display to have a look. He is a very talented person. We are lucky to have such kind customers.”
