THE Blue Circle Bowls Club, found at the White Horse Country Park, is holding another open day for people to come along for free and try out the sport on Sunday 29th May from 11am to 3pm.
The club is also offering four further taster sessions for £15 with qualified coaches – to find out more information on this, call Karen Kirby (club secretary) on 01373 300 843 or email karen.kirby@ blueyonder.co.uk
Karen Kirby, secretary for the club said, “Anyone is welcome to come along on the day and have a go. They are designed as taster sessions for people to try out the sport and meet some of the club members, although we will have coaches in attendance. We will provide all equipment that is required. All that we ask is that flat soled shoes or trainers are worn.
“We also have a club night most Fridays from 6pm. We are always looking for new members and are open to all ages, gender and ability. The bowls green is located at the White Horse Country Park, beneath the White Horse.”
The club plays in a number of leagues during the season and in friendly matches with teams from Wiltshire and the surrounding counties. The club also has an annual four-day tour away each year for members to enjoy.
