AN annual Boxing Day event, organised by a local pub, is described as a “fantastic way of burning all those Christmas Day calories and having fun with the family.
The Horse & Groom in Westbury, who have organised this fun Boxing Day fancy dress dog walk for four years say, “We are expecting a bumper turnout. Starting with coffee/tea at the Horse & Groom at 11am, the group walk to Bratton along the lower road and have a pit stop at The Duke for a couple of ‘refreshments’ before walking back to the Horse & Groom where an ‘all you can eat’ brunch is available and live music until 5pm.
“The walk is in aid of charity and this year we have chosen The Lions Club of Westbury who distribute all monies to local good causes. Entry for the walk is just £2 per person and ‘all you can eat brunch’ is available (bookings only) for £17 per person (children under ten £8).”
Bob Musker, landlord at the Horse & Groom said, “This is the best event we organise in the year – everyone is in such good humour and the fancy dress is great fun – it’s a real family event and the staff at the pub always look forward to the day.”
