The committee has been very busy this year maintaining and improving the village green.
The play equipment is inspected every week by one of the team for safety, and work has been done on new grass matting, stabilising muddy areas and in particular preparing the ground for a teen shelter, with funding gratefully received from Ashford Developers and Westbury Area Board.
In recent weeks, 200 Christmas lights were installed on scaffold poles around the green, which involved a huge amount of volunteer work, and a large group of villagers gathered for the grand switch-on.
