An overgrown area outside Westbury’s Cadet Centre has been cleared thanks to the efforts of a local councillor.
Cllr Boaz Barry, who represents Westbury on Wiltshire Council, spent a morning at the facility on West End earlier this month.
He was joined by his brother Joshua and fellow councillor Chris Vaughan, who represents Trowbridge Park.
The trio cut back a ‘jungle’ of overgrown grass and vegetation as temperatures reached nearly 30°C.
Cllr Barry said, “I spent time at the Cadet Centre on West End. Unfortunately, due to an ongoing tendering process, the area had become heavily overgrown. With permission, myself and my twin brother were joined by fellow councillor Chris Vaughan. We rolled up our sleeves and tackled the jungle together.
“Taking pride in our community is incredibly important to me. I’m committed to doing my part to ensure our neighbourhood remains a welcoming and vibrant environment for everyone.”
