FOLLOWING last year’s success, the West Wiltshire Society of Model Engineers’ Family Day will take place at the White Horse Country Park this Saturday, 20th June.
Bring along old steam toys to the miniature steam railway from 11am and see them brought back to life with the help of the those with vast experience. They will even provide the fuel, oil and water. If you have an old Mamod traction engine or stationary steam engine or any other old steam engine of any age working or not, you are welcome to bring it along. The miniature railway will be running all day, as will their 16mm scale garden railway.
Then on Sunday 13th September, The White Horse Model Engineering & Garden Railway Show returns to the White Horse Country Park following last year’s great turn-out.
The event will include live steam 16mm and G scale garden railway layouts, modelling engineering, train rides, 5 ins gauge train experience and large model traction engines.
Plus, over 20 traders, refreshments, Sunday lunches and a bar. Admission is £4 and under 16s go free. There is also free car parking.
