WESTBURY’S neighbourhood plan group is keen to hear from you about your views of the town.
Westbury neighbourhood plan will give the community the opportunity to vote on a shared vision for the future of the town of Westbury.
The group says, “We are able to choose where we want new homes, shops and offices to be built, and have our say on what infrastructure should be provided. What we cannot do is to prevent any development from taking place or propose less growth than in Wiltshire Council’s local plan.
“We have established five theme groups as follows: Design, development and housing; economy, education and the arts; transport and the environment; heritage; and health, leisure and wellbeing. If you have a particular interest in any of these themes, then we are very keen to hear from you.
“It is crucial that we can provide evidence of the widest possible consultation across our town when the neighbourhood plan is presented to the government inspector for approval. This is where you come in, because your views on what you want for your community count. Please respond to questionnaires that will occasionally come your way; it is a vital means of providing us with feedback.
“We ask you to keep yourself up to date with news via the Westbury Town Council newsletter and website. Visit www.westburytowncouncil .gov.uk to get up-to-date information on progress with the neighbourhood plan. Alternatively, please email: neighbourhood plan@westburytowncouncil .gov.uk.”
