WESTBURY Court Care Home are inviting local children to take part in a storytelling and drawing competition as part of their ‘Once Upon a Time’ community activity.
The home’s residents will be judging the competition and the winners in each category will receive book tokens and have their creations displayed at Westbury Court and published on the care home group’s website; brighterkind.com.
Jane Jones, the home’s manager said, “With visiting restrictions still in place and our residents not able to get out and about as they used to, we thought this would be a great way to stay connected to our friends in the community. Our residents would love to read stories by local children and are looking forward to enjoying some entertaining ‘lockdown literature’!”
Competition details: Age: 3-5 years, draw a picture of your favourite story. Age: 6-7 & 8-10 years, a short story beginning with the words ‘Once upon a time’.
Please post or email your entries by 28th February to: Once upon a time competition, Westbury Court Care Home, 6 Station Road, Westbury. BA13 3JH; westburycourt.activities@brighterkind.com. Don’t forget to include your name and contact details on your entry; winners will be announced on 3rd March.
