A CAROLS by Candlelight Christmas service will be held in St Mary’s Old Dilton Church on Friday 16 December at 6pm.
This popular atmospheric service is entirely candlelit as there is no electricity!
“Please note there is no electricity or heating so please wear suitable clothing and bring torches,” advises the church.
Local musicians Amusette will provide musical accompaniment to the candlelit service
The inside of this historic church has changed little since the 18th century and is crowded with plain, bleached box pews, some built on the original medieval benches, a three- decker pulpit, family pews and two small galleries.
