TAKE part in Wiltshire Air Ambulance’s Grand Christmas Draw and you could win £5,000.
Money raised from the Grand Christmas Draw will help Wiltshire Air Ambulance to keep saving lives. The draw is endorsed by Wiltshire couple Gemma and Craig Duff, who know how valuable WAA is. Their son, Lucas, suffered a severe allergic reaction when he and Gemma were out shopping at Waitrose in Malmesbury on 19th January 2015. WAA flew Lucas, then 16-months-old, to Bristol Children’s Hospital and after being monitored throughout the day he was discharged that evening.
Gemma said, “What should have been a straightforward trip to the shops turned into a really frightening emergency situation, which seriously threatened Lucas’ life.
“Thanks to the lovely first aider at the supermarket, the ambulance service and Wiltshire Air Ambulance, Lucas was given the care he needed and taken to where he needed to be for the best possible treatment within an astonishingly short space of time.
“I am only thankful that when Lucas needed Wiltshire Air Ambulance they were able to get to us. I will be forever thankful for the job they do. I do not know what I would have done without Wiltshire Air Ambulance that day. That is why I’m helping to launch their Grand Christmas Draw – a great way to help raise much needed funds for this lifesaving charity. By taking part, you can help raise the £6,850 a day Wiltshire Air Ambulance needs to keep its specialist crew and helicopter flying. Like me, you never know when you may need it.”
The first prize in the Grand Christmas Draw is £5,000. Second prize is £250, third prize is £100 and there are three consolation prizes of £50.
Tickets are £1 each and there are 10 tickets per book. To obtain tickets please call WAA on 01380 739453. They can only be sold to people aged 16 years or over. Entries need to be sent to Unit 4, Appletree Barns, Folly Lane, Copdock, Ipswich, IP8 3JQ by 31st December 2015. The draw will be made on 7th January 2016.
