THE Nick Jones Foundation for Bereaved Children is now a registered charity.
Nick Jones has experienced heart problems since 2012 after a small stroke. He was later diagnosed with malignant hypertension, which attacks the heart and internal organs. He is now being supported by the Dorothy House team for end-of-life planning.
He has set up a foundation in his name, ‘The Nick Jones Foundation for Bereaved Children’, to ensure that his children and other young people have the guidance and support they need when dealing with the loss of parents, family members and friends.
The committee said, “We are incredibly pleased to announce that The Nick Jones Foundation For Bereaved Children is now a registered charity: No 1181765.
“Thank you all for your continued support. We hope to bring you details of future fundraising events real ly soon. In the meantime donations can be made at https://www.gofundme.com/nick jonesfoundation.”
Nick recently announced his next big challenge following from his climb to Everest base camp last October. He will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in just seven days on the 16th March. The mountain stands at 5,895m, which is taller than Everest base camp.
